Luis Morales
His artistic practice emerges from reflections on space and its various relationships with the human essence, using photography as his primary medium. Morales has exhibited both individually and collectively since 1995.
Among his most notable exhibitions are those held at the Curitiba Biennial VentoSul, Brazil (2006); the Museum of Modern Art (MAMBO), Colombia (2016); Les Rencontres d’Arles, France (2024); the International Biennial BIAM Antioquia, Medellín (2025), Alonso Garces Bogota 2024, Aura Espacio Medellin 2021, Nadar Gallery in Tokyo (2009) among others.
He has developed several solo projects exploring notions of space, including Tránsito (Universidad Nacional, Medellín, 2009), Prótesis (Sala de Arte Suramericana, 2009).
He has also participated in international group shows such as Five Colombian Views in Japan, the XI Salon of Artists of the Central West Region, and the 40th National Salon of Artists Colombia.
Morales was the winner of the XI Colombo–Swiss Photography Prize, in 2015.
His work is part of public and private collections.
