The Light Gallery specialises in Contemporary Art.
The gallery specializes in contemporary art with a focus on photography, showcasing both emerging and established artists whose work reflects innovative perspectives and conceptual foundations.
Through its participation in international art fairs such as Art Miami, PhotoLondon, and Estampa Madrid, The Light Gallery has played a vital role in promoting cross cultural dialogue and in introducing Latin American photographers to new audiences and collectors worldwide. The gallery’s curatorial programme has been guided by a commitment to exploring the intersections between image, cultural identity, and space.
The Light Gallery continues to evolve as a platform dedicated to expanding the visibility of contemporary photographic practices and to encouraging a deeper appreciation of photography within the visual arts.
Today, The Light Gallery operates primarily online, complemented by International Art fairs and temporary exhibitions in Colombia, UK and the United states under the direction of Luz María Osorio. She holds a degree in Fine Arts and a Master’s in Museology. Osorio frequently gives public talks and lectures on Photography and the Art Market at an international level.
Steven V. Lee the Gallery co-founder is a professional photographer and the Director of the Kuala Lumpur Photo Awards (KLPA). As part of a cultural exchange initiative, finalists and winners of the Kuala Lumpur Photography Awards are exhibited at The Light Gallery in Colombia, while Latin American photographers are showcased in Malaysia.
